Illinois Senate expresses condolences on the death of Joanne Martha "Jody" Armstrong-Moon, who passed away on August 2, 2018

Jody Armstrong-Moon was born November 21, 1934 in St. Charles, attended Geneva High School and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago

She founded The Runaway Unicorn, a lunch, gift, and clothing store in Mt. Carroll that expanded to Freeport and Clinton, Iowa, and later built a career in Chicago real estate

She is survived by her husband Don, two daughters (Meg and Jennifer Armstrong), three stepdaughters, one stepson, three grandchildren, and other extended family members

Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Armstrong-Moon family as an expression of condolences
