Senate Resolution mourning the death of Robert Ross "Bob" Shapland Sr. of Savoy, who passed away on September 26, 2018.

Shapland graduated from the University of Illinois in 1946 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and served as a pilot in the United States Navy.

Founded Lincolnshire Realty in 1955 and developed the Lincolnshire and Lincolnshire Fields subdivisions in Champaign, personally designing the infrastructure and incorporating a golf course.

Was a longtime member of the Rotary Club and lifetime member of American Legion Post 24; attended the inaugural all-star baseball game in Chicago in 1933.

Survived by six children, one brother, 20 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren; a suitable copy of the resolution to be presented to his family.
