Carol L. (Lockwood) Baran of Hillsboro passed away on October 13, 2018; she was born May 2, 1945, in Litchfield to John and Mary (Pianfetti) Lockwood.

Worked for the Illinois Commerce Commission and operated a licensed daycare, Baran's Paint Store, and Christian Book Store in Hillsboro; served as school crossing guard for 19 years.

Member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro where she taught Sunday school to first and second graders for 32 years.

Survived by her husband Bill, three children (Carrie, Mary, and Mick), six grandchildren, and three sisters.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to Carol Baran's family, friends, and all who knew her, with a suitable copy of the resolution to be presented to her family.
