Illinois Senate expresses condolences on the death of Mary Ann Eckstein of Boulder, Colorado, who died on June 8, 2018 at age 81.

Eckstein was born April 12, 1937 in Chicago and taught for over 25 years at Oak Park Elementary School District 97, also teaching memory courses at Triton College after retirement.

She was an active member of St. Giles Family Mass Community, where she edited "The Vineyard" newsletter and organized community events; was a supporter of the Oak Park Education Foundation.

Eckstein was preceded in death by her husband Tom and her three brothers; survived by three children (Henry, Anne, and Liz) and two grandchildren.

Senate directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Eckstein's family as an expression of sympathy.
