Senate Resolution mourning the death of Janet L. Kaizer of Peoria, who passed away on October 28, 2018.

Janet Kaizer was born October 20, 1944, in Ft. Riley, Kansas, and earned degrees in music from the University of Illinois and Bradley University, studying under Soulima Stravinsky.

Won the title of World Champion Old-Time Piano Player in 1984-85 and served as organist and pianist at three Peoria-area churches for 53 years, retiring as Professor Emeritus from Bradley University.

Performed with orchestras across the United States, Mexico, and Europe, and was an active member of multiple music organizations including the American Guild of Organists and the Central Illinois Jazz Society.

Illinois Senate extends condolences to her surviving husband Ed, five children, and six grandchildren.
