Memorializes Dolores Moore Harlow "Dodie" Hirst of Bloomington, who passed away on October 25, 2018.

Hirst was born May 26, 1930, in Wichita, Kansas and was a teacher in the East Peoria school system starting in 1964, teaching kindergarten and junior high school before relocating to Wyoming, Illinois in 1971.

Upon retiring, she operated a florist business in Wyoming and later moved to Arizona in 2010, returning to Wyoming and then Bloomington in 2015.

Known for her coloratura voice, volunteer work with the LIFE Center for Independent Living (winning the 2016 Advocate of the Year Award), church service, and support for social justice issues.

Survived by four children (Stephen, Kris, Lisa, and David), six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends.
