Illinois Senate expresses condolences for the death of Richard D. "Rick" McCaherty of Carlinville, who passed away on November 6, 2018

Rick McCaherty was born April 23, 1948, graduated from Northwestern High School in 1966, served in the United States Air Force, and married Jill S. Leach on November 25, 1989

McCaherty worked for McDonnell Aircraft Corporation, Schien's Body and Equipment, Plaza Truck Service, and H&H Construction before starting his own business, McCaherty Construction, specializing in finish carpentry

McCaherty is survived by his wife Jill, three children (Kelli, Sean, and Karli), his mother Ruth E. McCaherty, one grandson, two siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews

Senate directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Rick McCaherty's family as an expression of condolences
