Harold Marshall Morrison passed away on November 11, 2018; he was born in Lake Forest on February 21, 1932, and graduated from Trinity College and received a Master of Science in Engineering from Purdue University.

Morrison worked for General Motors Research Laboratories and IBM, and served as an alderman for Lake Forest, board member of the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society, and president of the Manasota Key Association in Florida.

Morrison was an elder and active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, sang in the church choir for over 40 years, and performed with the Commuters barbershop quartet group.

Morrison devoted time to computer education in public schools, including North Lawndale College Prep Charter High School and schools in North Chicago, and started a family foundation with his wife Addie to support charitable causes.

Morrison is survived by his wife of 63 years, Adeline Steans Morrison, four daughters, and seven grandchildren; the Illinois Senate extends condolences to his family and loved ones.
