Commends Blake James Dale Kinnett of Alvin, Illinois, a high school student who was diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) in February 2017, for his courage and determination.

Recognizes ALD as a genetic disease affecting 1 in 18,000 people (mostly boys and men) that destroys the protective myelin sheath around brain neurons, with no current cure.

Acknowledges the Kinnett family and Alvin community for their unwavering support of Blake during his illness.

Declares December 1, 2018 as "Blake Kinnett Day" in Illinois to raise awareness of Adrenoleukodystrophy.

Directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to Blake Kinnett and his family as a symbol of esteem and respect.
