Illinois Senate mourns the death of James E. "Jim" "Doc" Donlan of Peoria, who passed away on December 8, 2018

Donlan was a respected dentist who graduated from University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry in 1957 and retired in 2012, specializing in oral cancer treatment and care for children with cleft lip and palates

Donlan served as president of the Peoria District Dental Society (1976-1977) and president of the Illinois Academy of Dental Practice Administration, and was elected as a fellow in The American College of Dentistry in 1989

Donlan served as team dentist for the Peoria Rivermen, Peoria Chiefs, and Bradley Athletic Department, and was actively involved in youth hockey and baseball leagues and St. Vincent de Paul Parish

Senate extends sincere condolences to Donlan's surviving wife Carol, eight children, 26 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and extended family members
