Illinois Senate mourns the death of Stephen Neal "Steve" Doran, who passed away on December 3, 2018

Doran was an oral surgeon born in Fairbury in 1957 who earned degrees from Illinois Wesleyan University and SIU School of Dental Medicine, and established an oral surgery practice in Bloomington

Beginning in 2013, Doran conducted medical mission trips to Haiti providing free oral surgery care and operated free oral surgery clinics in Bloomington-Normal serving thousands of patients

Doran is survived by his wife Joy of nearly 40 years, three daughters, two sons-in-law, two grandsons, his mother Phyliss, two sisters, and numerous family members and friends

Senate extends condolences to Doran's family and directs a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to his family as an expression of sympathy
