Stephen F. "Steve" Corrao of Joliet passed away on October 14, 2018; he was born December 13, 1941, in Salem, Massachusetts, and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Tampa.

Served as Executive Director of the George Werden Buck Boys and Girls Club for over 40 years and was co-founder and first president of the Greater Joliet Alliance for Youth.

Held leadership positions including president of Agencies United and board membership with the United Way of Will County.

Received the Lewis University/Zorich Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003 and an Outstanding Image Award in Youth Services from Joliet NAACP Branch #3018 in 2010.

Served as certified official for three Illinois High School Association sports: football, basketball, and baseball.

Survived by wife Lynne of 35 years, three children, and five grandchildren; the Illinois Senate extends condolences to his family and loved ones.
