Active in Springfield community through membership in American Business Club, work at State Fairgrounds Grandstand, baseball with Un-Stars, LPGA Rail Classic Charity Golf Outing organization, and Governor's Prayer Breakfast Committee

Survived by daughters Molly and Betsy, grandchildren Jack, William, and Kathryn Londrigan, former wife Julie Bucari Dirksen, and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins
