Increases Illinois minimum wage to $15 per hour for employees 18 years of age or older, effective October 1, 2019.

Maintains the previous minimum wage of $8.25 per hour from July 1, 2010 through September 30, 2019.

Allows employers to pay new employees up to 50¢ less than the minimum wage during their first 90 consecutive calendar days of employment, except for temporary laborers and employees with occasional or irregular work.

Limits wages for employees under 18 years of age to no more than 50¢ less than the adult minimum wage rate.

Permits employers in gratuity-based occupations to count gratuities up to 40% of the minimum wage toward hourly wage requirements.
