IL HB0029

Amends the Common Interest Community Association Act by adding Section 1-95 to prohibit units of local government, including home rule units, from regulating common interest community association actions or procedures in a manner inconsistent with changes made by Public Act 100-292.

Amends the Condominium Property Act by adding Section 18.11 with identical restrictions on local government regulation of condominium associations, preventing regulations inconsistent with changes made by Public Act 100-292.

Establishes both new sections as limitations under subsection (i) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution regarding concurrent exercise of powers between home rule units and the State.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
