Adds new aggravating factor (paragraph 22) to first-degree murder statute allowing death penalty when murdered individual was a member of a congregation engaged in prayer or other religious activities at a church, synagogue, mosque, or other building used for religious worship.

Adds new crime of aggravated assault in Section 12-2(a) when assault occurs in a church, synagogue, mosque, or other building, structure, or place used for religious worship.

Adds new crime of aggravated battery in Section 12-3.05(c) when battery occurs in a church, synagogue, mosque, or other building, structure, or place used for religious worship, classified as Class 2 felony when causing great bodily harm to congregation members.

Adds new unlawful use of weapons offense in Section 24-1(a)(2.5) making it Class 2 felony to carry or possess any firearm with intent to use unlawfully against another in a church, synagogue, mosque, or other place used for religious worship.

Makes conforming grammatical changes throughout the code substituting "he or she" for "he" in various provisions.
