• Mandates that school report cards include data on allegations of sexual assault or sexual abuse by licensed educators or school district employees/volunteers reported at each school.

• Requires suspension from employment for school district or regional office of education employees who fail to perform criminal history records checks, sex offender database checks, or murderer/violent offender database checks, or who ignore the results of such checks.

• Increases penalties under the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act from Class A misdemeanor to Class 4 felony for first violations of failure to report and from Class 4 felony to Class 3 felony for second or subsequent violations.
