State Board of Education shall design and implement a system of examinations required prior to issuing educator licenses, based on national and state professional teaching standards.

Applicants for Professional Educator License or Educator License with Stipulations must pass a test of basic skills covering reading, language arts, and mathematics before license issuance.

All applicants seeking state licenses must pass a content area knowledge test for each endorsement area with an applicable test, with no exceptions allowed.

Beginning September 1, 2015, all teacher preparation program candidates must pass a teacher performance assessment approved by the State Board of Education.

Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, student teacher candidates cannot be required to videotape themselves or their students in a classroom setting as a condition of obtaining a license.
