Raises the competitive bidding threshold for fire protection district contracts from $20,000 to $20,000 (no change to threshold amount).

Requires fire protection districts with maintained websites to post notices of all contract proposals exceeding $20,000 on their websites in addition to newspaper publication.

Removes requirement that contract notices be published in a "daily" newspaper, allowing publication in any newspaper of general circulation throughout the district.

Simplifies notice requirements for civil service eligibility examinations by allowing publication in any newspaper of general circulation within the fire protection district.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
