Prohibits Illinois legislators from accepting or participating in representation cases before the State or any local government unit involving challenges to taxes or proposed tax/fee assessments, for matters filed on or after February 1, 2019

Expands the definition of "representation case" to include matters before units of local government, in addition to state agencies

Allows business associates of legislators to participate in such tax-related representation cases, unless the legislator receives fees or compensation directly or indirectly through a partnership, LLC, or other business entity

Maintains existing prohibitions against legislator representation before the Court of Claims and the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission when the State is respondent

Violation of these ethics restrictions constitutes a Class A misdemeanor
