IL HB0822

Adds definition of "undesignated glucagon" as glucagon prescribed in the name of a school rather than an individual student.

Allows schools to maintain a supply of undesignated glucagon in a secure, immediately accessible location for use by school nurses or delegated care aides.

Permits physicians, physician assistants with prescriptive authority, or advanced practice registered nurses with prescriptive authority to prescribe undesignated glucagon in the school's name.

Authorizes school nurses or delegated care aides to administer undesignated glucagon when authorized through a student's diabetes care plan and when the student's prescribed glucagon is unavailable or expired.

Requires schools to notify the school nurse, student's parent or guardian, emergency contact, and health care provider immediately after administering undesignated glucagon.
