Requires owners or operators of nuclear power plants in Illinois to submit nuclear decommissioning funding assurance status reports to the Illinois Commerce Commission by May 1, 2020, and every 2 years thereafter

Mandates that these reports be the same as those submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and, where applicable, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission

Requires the Illinois Commerce Commission to provide the General Assembly with copies of decommissioning funding status reports for shutdown nuclear units beginning June 1, 2020, and every 2 years thereafter

Amends existing law governing nuclear power plant decommissioning trusts, which are fiduciary accounts established to fund the eventual entombment, decontamination, dismantlement, and disposal of retired nuclear facilities
