IL HB0922

Amends the School Code to require school districts to make feminine hygiene products (tampons and sanitary napkins) available at no cost to students in each bathroom of every school building serving grades 6-12.

Defines "feminine hygiene products" as tampons and sanitary napkins for menstrual use and "school building" as facilities owned or leased by school districts with grades 6-12 students.

Establishes legislative findings that feminine hygiene products are health care necessities, that lack of access causes students to miss multiple school days monthly, and that availability enables students to continue daily activities with minimal interruption.

Clarifies that products must be available in each bathroom individually rather than collectively throughout school buildings.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
