Amends Illinois Criminal Code Section 12-3.05 (Aggravated Battery) to expand the list of protected employees whose battery during official duties constitutes aggravated battery

Adds workers under the Adult Protective Services Program and Ombudsmen under the State Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (Department on Aging) as protected categories

Adds Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) employees to the list of protected individuals, including those employed by contracted agencies providing social work, case work, or investigative services

Battery against these newly added employees while performing official duties, to prevent their duties, or in retaliation for their duties can result in Class 1 felony charges if great bodily harm, permanent disability, or disfigurement occurs

Defines "Department of Children and Family Services employee" to include workers, case workers, or investigators employed by agencies or organizations under contract with or receiving grants from DCFS
