IL HB2049

Amends Section 6-109 of the Illinois Vehicle Code to create a new subsection (b-5) for drivers over age 80 renewing their license.

Requires written examination no more than once every 4 years for applicants over 80 years old at time of license renewal, in addition to other required examinations.

Maintains existing requirement that drivers 75 years or older must demonstrate ability to safely operate a motor vehicle through actual demonstration.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
