Requires food service sanitation manager training to include allergen awareness education beginning January 1, 2018.

Mandates certified food service sanitation managers employed by restaurants complete basic allergen awareness training within 30 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.

Specifies allergen awareness training must cover 13 topics including food allergy definitions, symptoms, major allergens, cross-contact prevention, cleaning methods, emergency procedures, and proper food preparation for allergic guests.

Defines "major food allergens" as milk, eggs, fish, crustaceans, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts, soybeans, and food ingredients containing protein derived from these foods.

Repeals Section 3.07 of the Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act.
