Removes the 2008-2009 school year restriction, making required high school courses apply to all students entering 9th grade going forward.

Allows Advanced Placement computer science courses to count as one of three required mathematics years without requiring completion of Algebra II.

Permits mathematics courses with geometry content to be offered as integrated, applied, interdisciplinary, or career and technical education courses that lead to career readiness paths.

Requires school boards offering Advanced Placement computer science to designate it as equivalent to a high school mathematics course and note it on student transcripts as mathematics-based and quantitative.

State Board of Education must develop and communicate standards for writing-intensive coursework to school districts.
