• Increases minimum mandatory liability insurance coverage for bodily injury or death of one person from $25,000 to $50,000 per accident.

• Increases minimum mandatory coverage for bodily injury or death of multiple persons from $50,000 to $100,000 per accident.

• Increases minimum mandatory coverage for property damage from $20,000 to $40,000 per accident.

• Applies the increased coverage amounts to all motor vehicle liability insurance policies issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2015.

• Amends four sections of the Illinois Vehicle Code (625 ILCS 5/1-164.5, 7-203, 7-311, and 7-317) to reflect the new minimum coverage requirements.
