IL HB2179

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to authorize the Illinois Department of Human Resources to issue decals for Universal special license plates on behalf of organizations designated by the General Assembly.

Creates the Theresa Tracy Trot - Illinois CancerCare Foundation Fund as a special fund in the State treasury to receive fees from the sale of pancreatic cancer awareness license plates.

Establishes fee structure for Universal special license plates: $25 for original issuance (with $10 to the designated fund and $15 to Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund) and $25 for renewal (with $23 to the designated fund and $2 to Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund).

Specifies that all money from the Theresa Tracy Trot - Illinois CancerCare Foundation Fund shall be paid to the Illinois CancerCare Foundation for pancreatic cancer research.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
