IL HB2219

Amends the Illinois School Code to establish grant calculation formulas for alternative schools, safe schools, and alternative learning opportunities programs operated by regional offices of education.

For fiscal year 2018, State Board of Education calculates grants using the greater of: the program's best 3 months of average daily attendance (ADA) for 2016-2017 school year, or the average of best 3 months of ADA for 2014-2015 through 2016-2017 school years, multiplied by $6,119.

For fiscal year 2019, State Board calculates grants using the greater of: the program's best 3 months of ADA for 2017-2018 school year, or the average of best 3 months of ADA for 2015-2016 through 2017-2018 school years, multiplied by $6,119.

Establishes "Regional Program Increased Enrollment Recognition" calculations for both fiscal years 2018 and 2019, with grants paid only if this amount exceeds the Base Funding Minimum under Section 18-8.15.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
