IL HB2242

Expands the Chicago Municipal Pension Fund to include non-licensed employees of charter schools and contract schools operating under agreements with the Chicago Board of Education, excluding those already contributing to other Illinois public employee pension systems.

Adds charter schools and contract schools as employers under the Chicago Municipal Article of the Illinois Pension Code.

Expands the Chicago Teachers' Pension Fund to include educational, administrative, professional, and other staff employed by contract schools who hold positions requiring certification or licensure under the School Code.

Designates contract schools operating pursuant to agreements with the Board of Education as employers under the Chicago Teachers Article.

Exempts the state from reimbursing local governments for implementation costs related to these pension fund expansions under the State Mandates Act.
