IL HB2318

Amends Section 15-316 of the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow local authorities to limit truck and commercial vehicle operations in areas with poor air quality through ordinance or resolution.

Defines "poor air quality" as air conditions where pollutants from natural and unnatural sources reach concentrations high enough to endanger human health or the environment.

Adds new subsection (c-3) granting local authorities discretionary power to impose restrictions on trucks and commercial vehicles in areas meeting the poor air quality definition.
