Excludes licensed veterinarians from the general Prescription Monitoring Program registration and reporting requirements under the Illinois Controlled Substances Act.

Requires licensed veterinarians to report to the Department of Human Services only if they suspect a person presenting an animal for treatment is fraudulently obtaining controlled substances or prescriptions.

Protects licensed veterinarians from licensure or disciplinary action by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation for failing to report suspected fraudulent controlled substance acquisition.

Makes technical corrections to existing Prescription Monitoring Program provisions, including clarifying department names and reporting procedures.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
