IL HB2472

Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act by modifying Section 10b to add an exception for products and services that cause bodily injury, death, or property damage.

Clarifies that regulatory approval does not constitute "specific authorization" for manufacturing, distributing, or selling products or services that cause or contribute to bodily injury, death, or property damage.

Preserves existing exemptions for trademark distribution, media publications, real estate communications, and insurance-related communications when made without knowledge of false or misleading information.

Removes item (5) from the exemptions list, leaving it blank.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
