IL HB2546

Amends the Toll Highway Act to permit vehicles displaying Purple Heart special registration license plates to use toll highways without paying tolls on August 7 of each year, designated as Purple Heart Day.

Purple Heart license plates must be issued under Section 3-623 of the Illinois Vehicle Code to qualify for the toll exemption.

Maintains existing exemptions for official Toll Highway Authority business, police and emergency vehicles, public transportation vehicles, and authorized emergency services.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
