IL HB2606

Amends the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy Law to authorize the Board of Trustees to enter into public-private partnership agreements with private entities for educational purposes.

Adds new subsection (h-5) to Section 4 granting the Board power to create public-private partnerships relating to or affecting education in the school.

Updates reference to the State Employee Indemnification Act for representation and indemnification of the Academy, its board members, and employees in civil lawsuits.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
