IL HB2634

Reduces maximum attorney fees in workers' compensation death, total disability, and partial disability cases from 20% to 15% of the sum due for 364 weeks of permanent total disability based on the employee's average weekly wage.

Maintains existing 20% cap on attorney fees for initial or original claims in other workers' compensation proceedings.

Preserves nominal fee caps of $100 or less for undisputed cases involving death, statutory permanent disability, amputation, organ removal, vision loss, fractures, or organ removal where liability is not disputed.

Prohibits attorney fees for undisputed medical expenses, temporary total disability compensation paid timely and properly, or claims where settlement does not exceed the employer's pre-representation written offer.

Effective immediately upon becoming law.
