HB2635 Summary

• Reverts workers' compensation rates for certain accidental injuries to levels existing before Public Act 94-277 took effect, including specific weekly benefit amounts for temporary total disability and permanent partial disability cases.

• Eliminates requirement for employers to make annual adjustment payments on compensation rates in death and permanent total disability awards for accidents occurring between July 20, 2005 and November 11, 2005.

• Reduces total compensation cap under Section 7 from $500,000 or 25 years to $250,000 or 20 years, whichever is greater.

• Creates a Workers' Compensation Medical Fee Advisory Board with 9 members (3 from employee class, 3 from employer class, 3 from medical provider class) to develop a medical fee schedule based on Medicare-authorized fees by December 31, 2020.
