IL HB2707

Amends the Illinois Procurement Code to require all state contracts entered into on or after July 1, 2019 for plumbing infrastructure work or new construction to use energy-efficient toilets.

Applies to contracts involving addition, alteration, renovation, or repair of plumbing in existing commercial buildings, or construction of new buildings or structures in Illinois.

Exempts contracts from the energy-efficient toilet requirement if energy-efficient toilets cost more than 10% above non-energy-efficient toilets, or 10% more than the next lowest competing bid without this requirement.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
