Natural gas public utilities serving more than 35,000 customers must submit annual pipeline facility information to the Illinois Commerce Commission with their Form 21 ILCC filing.

Required reporting includes pipeline length categorized by installation year, diameter size, material composition, scheduled replacement year, and details on newly installed pipeline for replacement and expansion purposes.

Illinois Commerce Commission must submit an annual report to the General Assembly by October 1 each year evaluating the safety and reliability of the state's natural gas distribution system and assessing utility plans for pipeline replacement.

Annual reports from utilities and the Commission's evaluation report must be made available to the public on the Commission's website.

First reports under this requirement shall cover calendar year 2019 and must be submitted to the Commission in 2020.
