Allows retired Chicago firefighters receiving a retirement annuity to also receive an occupational disease disability benefit if they meet three conditions: have not reached compulsory retirement age, have not been receiving the annuity for more than 5 years, and have a qualifying occupational disease condition.

A firefighter cannot receive both a retirement annuity and occupational disease disability benefit simultaneously; the annuity payments suspend during the period the disability benefit is received.

The occupational disease disability benefit terminates when the firefighter reaches compulsory retirement age.

Qualifies firefighters for occupational disease disability benefits for conditions including heart disease, tuberculosis, lung or respiratory diseases, AIDS, hepatitis C, stroke, and certain cancers that could result from firefighting exposure.

Amends the State Mandates Act to exempt this provision from state reimbursement requirements and makes the act effective immediately upon passage.
