Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) must complete an assessment of its current marketing programs and how well it assists Illinois residents in using and coordinating these programs by December 31, 2019.

Assessment must be conducted in consultation with the General Assembly and must evaluate the extent to which the Department helps residents access and coordinate available programs.

Following the assessment review, the Department may hire a Citizens Services Coordinator, subject to appropriation, if the Department and General Assembly determine one is needed.

Citizens Services Coordinator would assist Illinois residents in obtaining DCEO services and programs and monitor regional demand patterns for services based on resident inquiries.
