Requires individual and group accident and health insurance policies to cover one annual whole body skin examination for lesions suspicious for skin cancer without any deductible, coinsurance, copayment, or other cost-sharing requirement

Examination must use appropriate routine evaluation and management Current Procedural Terminology codes and be indicated using appropriate International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems codes

Exempts high-deductible health plans that would lose eligibility for health savings accounts under 26 U.S.C. 223 from this coverage requirement

Takes effect January 1, 2020
