Amends the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act to require guardians ad litem in cases involving dissolution of marriage, declaration of invalidity of marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities, or domestic violence to complete 20 hours of classroom training and 20 hours of training by a domestic abuse advocate before appointment.

Mandates that the required training for guardians ad litem be offered by a statewide organization advocating for survivors of domestic violence.

Courts may only appoint a guardian ad litem in the specified case types if the appointed individual has completed the required 40 hours of training (20 classroom hours plus 20 hours with a domestic abuse advocate).
