Health care providers licensed by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation who apply for license renewal shall be presumed licensed until their renewal is approved or denied by the Department.

Applies to dentists, physicians, nurses, and physician assistants licensed under the Illinois Dental Practice Act, Medical Practice Act of 1987, Nurse Practice Act, and Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987.

Department must provide proof of temporary licensure renewal to licensed health care providers in good standing who submit a renewal application.

Department of Financial and Professional Regulation may adopt rules to implement these temporary renewal provisions.
