• Reduces the Procurement Policy Board's objection period for proposed contract extensions or renewals from 30 calendar days to 14 calendar days.

• Allows the chief procurement officer to enter into contract extensions or renewals if the Procurement Policy Board does not object within 14 days or take affirmative action to recommend the extension or renewal.

• Applies to contract extensions or renewals with costs exceeding $249,999 that must be filed with the Procurement Policy Board prior to execution.

• Exempts emergency procurements, Article 40 procurements, and contracts paid with federal-aid funds that would lose eligibility if subjected to this review process.

• Requires the Procurement Policy Board to file an annual report by August 1 identifying proposed extensions and renewals filed, Board objections, and exempt contracts.
