IL HB3471

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code to require group and individual accident and health insurance policies to cover cardiopulmonary monitors determined medically necessary for persons 18 years old or younger who have experienced a cardiopulmonary event.

Applies to policies amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after the effective date of this act.

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to require the medical assistance program to provide coverage for cardiopulmonary monitors under the same standards as private insurance.

Takes effect January 1, 2020.
