IL HB3559

Creates the Mandatory Dementia-Specific Training Act requiring emergency medical technicians, probate judges, paid guardians of persons with disabilities, and protective service employees to receive dementia-specific training including Alzheimer's disease and dementia symptoms and care.

Requires all personnel covered under the Act to complete refresher training courses at least once every 3 years.

Designates the Department of Public Health to implement and conduct the training program, set training standards, and determine required hours and frequency of training.

Authorizes the Department of Public Health to adopt rules necessary to implement the Act.
