IL HB3851

Reduces the trailer flat weight tax for trailers with maximum loads of 3,000 lbs. or less from $118 to $18 per fiscal year under the Illinois Vehicle Code Section 3-819.

Tax reduction applies only if Senate Bill 1939 of the 101st General Assembly becomes law.

The $18 tax includes the $10 registration fee required by Section 3-813.

Of fees collected under this provision, $1 goes to the Secretary of State Special Services Fund and $99 goes to the Road Fund.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
