• Department of Financial and Professional Regulation must issue or deny a license for practical nurse (LPN) and registered professional nurse (RN) licensure within 30 days after completion of the application.

• Department must issue or deny a license for advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) licensure within 30 days after receiving all required documentation.

• Applicants have 3 years from the date of application to complete the application process; if not completed within 3 years, the application is denied and the applicant must reapply meeting current requirements.

• Amends the Nurse Practice Act (225 ILCS 65) to establish these specific licensing timeline requirements for practical nurses, registered nurses, and advanced practice registered nurses.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
